Accessibility Statement
Our accessibility commitments and how to report a barrier.
Draft, awaiting attorney review
This document is a working draft published so you can see how Campus Voices works. It has not been reviewed by our attorney yet and may change. Items in [brackets] are still to be filled in.
7. Accessibility Statement (draft)
7.1 Our commitment
Campus Voices wants everyone to be able to use our website and platform, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions or voice control. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
7.2 What we do
(a) We build on semantic HTML with a declared page language, visible labels on form fields, and native form controls.
(b) We design with sufficient color contrast and do not rely on color alone to convey meaning [verify with testing].
(c) Creators must add captions or on-screen text where the brief requires; approved content delivered to universities includes a clean-file version to which the university can add its own captions.
(d) We test new features with keyboard-only navigation and a screen reader [adopt as practice; state the tools].
7.3 Known limitations
[To fill after an audit.] We have not yet completed a formal accessibility audit or a VPAT / Accessibility Conformance Report. Known or likely issues include: [video preview players in the review screen may not expose full keyboard controls; custom radio and checkbox styles need testing with screen readers; charts in reports may need text alternatives]. We will list issues here as we find them, with target fix dates.
7.4 Content posted on social platforms
Creator videos are published on TikTok and Instagram, whose players and accessibility features we do not control. We encourage creators to use on-screen text and platform auto-captions.
7.5 Feedback and alternative access
If you have trouble using any part of our website or platform, email hello@campusvoicesmedia.com with "Accessibility" in the subject. Tell us the page and the problem. We will respond within [2] business days and, where we cannot fix the problem quickly, provide the information or service another way (for example, completing the application by email or phone).
7.6 Date
This statement was prepared on [date] and will be reviewed at least once a year.
